A lot of landscapes hit a wall this time of year. The hedges get shaggy, the bed edges blur into the lawn, and the mulch fades out to nothing. It starts looking tired fast - and it's the kind of thing that's easy to put off. That's exactly what we were working with here.

We came in and tackled it from a few angles. The hedges got a full trim - shaped up clean and consistent across the whole run. Then we cut the bed edges back sharp so there's a clear separation between the lawn and the planting beds. That edge line alone makes a huge difference in how polished everything looks.

After that, we laid down fresh organic brown mulch throughout the beds. It ties everything together visually and does real work under the surface too - holding moisture, suppressing weeds, and feeding the soil over time. It's one of the most cost-effective things you can do for your landscape.

This is exactly the kind of work we do during our seasonal cleanups. It's not complicated, but the details matter. Sloppy hedge cuts or uneven mulch depth can leave a yard looking worse than before. Getting it right takes experience and a little patience.

If your beds are looking like they've been neglected, this is a solid place to start. Clean edges, trimmed shrubs, fresh mulch - it's a simple formula that works every time.
