We genuinely love planting trees. It's one of those jobs that feels meaningful - you're not just making a yard look better, you're adding something that will grow and last for years. That's hard not to get excited about.
Here's what the process actually looks like on our end. It starts before we ever break ground - loading up balled and burlapped trees, getting them onto the trailer carefully so nothing gets damaged in transit. We use equipment like a skid steer to handle the heavy lifting at the nursery, which means the trees arrive at your property in good shape and ready to go in the ground.
The digging is where the real work happens. Proper hole depth and width matter more than most people realize. Too shallow and the roots struggle. Too tight and you'll have drainage problems down the line. We take the time to do it right, especially when we're working around existing plantings where there's less room to maneuver.
What we end up with is a backyard that has real structure to it. Columnar arborvitae add vertical interest, round out the bed with some boxwoods, top it off with fresh mulch - and the whole space just comes together. It's the kind of garden installation that looks intentional, not just thrown together.
Trees give a yard privacy, shade, and character all at once. We've done enough of these installs to know that getting the right tree in the right spot makes all the difference. That's what keeps us coming back to this kind of work.
